Behaviour Expectations

Behaviour Expectations at Beresford Road Public School

Beresford Road Public School is a community of students, staff, and family working together to create an engaging and respectful learning environment where students consistently display the school’s values of Be Safe, Respect, Participate and Strive for Excellence.

Beresford Road instils the Department of Education (NSW)’s Behaviour Code for students.

All classrooms and learning spaces provide students with a visual support of the behaviour expectations at Beresford Road Public School. There is a matrix that outline expected behaviours in the classroom and playground. Students are explicitly taught these behaviour expectations at the beginning of each school year and are re-taught when required.

Beresford Road Public School aims to both encourage positive behaviours and provide consequences for students who do not follow the agreed school behaviours. Above the line behaviours include behaviours that fall in the green zones of the BRPS Expectations Matrix.  Below the line behaviours include any behaviours that fall in the yellow, orange or red zones of the BRPS Expectations Matrix.

BRPS Classroom Matrix: This document outlines the expected behaviours for Beresford Road students in the classroom.
