Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.
Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.
Beresford Idol - School-wide Talent Quest
In the second half of the year, all students are given the opportunity to perform in our exclusive talent quest known as 'Beresford Idol'. Students sing, dance, act or play an instrument in either the K-2 or 3-6 assemblies.
Students are required to perform at an initial audition screening before they are given the opportunity to perform live in front of the school assembly. They then need to impress the judges to progress to the semi-finals and ultimately compete in the grand final held at the end of the year.
Who will be the next Beresford Idol?

Students in our choir are given the opportunity to participate in school concerts and regional Eisteddfod's. The choir also perform at a number of community concerts and at our end of year presentation night. The school choir looks forward to participating in the annual Celebrating the Arts evening held at the Riverside Theatre in Parramatta. All students are encouraged to join!
